Collection: Black Fives x PUMA Autumn/Winter 2022 Collection

During the Black Fives era of basketball, most African American players had primary jobs outside of the game. Participation in the sport was tied to community wellness, social camaraderie, and cultural advancement. This season, PUMA and the Black Fives Foundation highlight the athletes’ lives off the court and the work they performed in business, municipal, industrial, and service roles, where uniforms were often standard attire. This workwear-inspired the latest Black Fives x PUMA collection, which seeks to humanize those early African American basketball pioneers while honoring their journeys to rise above obstacles, thrive against the odds, and pave the way for those who followed.
