Younger Set

The Younger Set Club was an all-Black women’s social and athletic club formed in New York City in September 1912.

Home Court: Young’s Casino.

Their basketball roster included many of the city’s best female athletes and became the unofficial sister team of the Smart Set Athletic Club. The club’s name connected the team to their home court, the newly opened Young’s Casino, a beautiful venue located at East 134th Street and Park Avenue in Harlem.
